Yet another cozy. I used the Magic Cast-On method to start out, did the rest in a 1X1 rib and finished with Peggy's Stretchy Bind-Off.

How do you like my nifty yarn bags...?

So, I decided to start on another pair of socks. But, this time, I wanted to be a little more adventurist and use US 1 needles and Colinette Jitterbug yarn, in Fire (color). I'm using the same pattern I used for my Maroon and Black Skull Socks - Brooklyntweed's Chimney Socks. Once I got a few rounds into the toes, I realized I had plenty of needle space left and decided to start another pair. So, I moved the Fire socks off to some DPN's and used Colinette Jitterbug in Lapis to start another pair. Once I got to the same point in the pattern as the Fire socks, I moved everything back to the same two circular needles.

My plan is to use the Lapis for the toes and heels and Fire for the foot and leg for one pair and Fire for the toes and heels and Lapis for the foot and leg for the other pair.

This is a scarf I'm knitting for a friend. She loves purple. And, since she's always cold, she'll still be able to use this skinny little scarf for a couple months.

I found the pattern here. But, it's broken. The instructions are as follows:

CO 72 sts
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: K2tog to the end of row. 36 sts remain.
Row 3: P2tog to end of row. 18 sts remain.
Row 4: *K2, P2*, *Repeat to end of row.
Repeat Row 4 until scarf is 3 inches from desired length.

Row 5: *P Inc*, repeat to end of row-36 sts.
Row 6: *K Inc*, repeat to end of row-72sts.
Row 7: Knit.
BO and weave in ends.

However, if you with 18 stitches, you'll end with K2, when you should end with P2. So, following is my modified instructions:

CO 64 sts
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: K2tog to the end of row. 32 sts remain.
Row 3: P2tog to end of row. 16 sts remain.
Row 4: *K2, P2*, *Repeat to end of row.
Repeat Row 4 until scarf is 3 inches from desired length.
Row 5: *P Inc*, repeat to end of row - 32 sts.
Row 6: *K Inc*, repeat to end of row - 64 sts.
Row 7: Knit.
BO and weave in ends.

I started Koolhaas Hat from Brookytweed. This is my 4th try. It's going okay for the first couple rounds, but then things get out of whack. Part of the problem is that I didn't understand working from a chart at first. I was working the whole chart from left-to-right, instead of working the odd numbered rows/rounds from right-to-left. That was the mistake on my first 3 attempts.

This time, I'm having trouble with some of the bars. If you click the picture below, I've noted the bars.

The Maroon and Black Skull Socks - Round 3 are done. This time, the skulls are on the bottom of the foot. Plus, for one sock, I pearled the skull; and, on the other sock, for the area around the skull, I switched to pearl and knitted the skull. Next time, I'm going to Fair Isle the skulls, or at least try to.
