So, I've been reading a few knitting blogs, and have seen "KIP" used for "Knitting In Public." I prefer the phrase "Public Displays Of Knitting." Or, P-DOK.

Am I the only one who has been sitting on the couch knitting, only to look up and realize it's 3:30 in the bloody morning? One minute, it's 11:00pm and the next thing I know, it's 3:30am.

I started over on my Maroon Socks with Black Heels and Toes project. Except I'm renaming the project to Maroon and Blacks Skulls Socks. It's the same pattern as before, except I did a little skull pattern - based on Adrian Bizilia's Biker Boy sweater from Son of Stitch'n Bitch. I wanted the skull to be subtle so, instead of using a contrasting color, I just pearled where the pattern called for the CC.

The skull is on the bottom top of the foot.

I got so frustrated when trying to bind-off my maroon socks with black toes and heels, that I completely frogged the project. This is actually the second time I've done it. The first time, I messed up on the ribbing of the legs. I'll try again.

And, as if I didn't already have enough patterns I want to try, I bought Son of Stitch 'n Bitch today.

So, I thought up a good line to use when someone gives me a hardtime about being a man who knits: "Yeah, well. My therapist seems to think it will help me control my homicidal tendencies" I'm still working on the crazed look.

Why do we call it a "ball" winder, if we refer to what comes out as a "cake"??
My Dallas Stars Scarf (home).

This is another easy project I'm working on. I'm doing the whole thing in gartor stitch. I'm using Red Heart in gold, hunter green and off soft white. I started to use white but it was just too bright and the off soft white looks good with the gold and hunter green. I'm alternating 8 rows of hunter green (not counting the cast on row); 4 rows of off soft white; 6 rows of gold; 12 rows of hunter green; 6 rows of gold; 4 rows of off soft white; and, back to hunter green until it's the length I want. Then, I'll alternate the off soft white, gold and hunter green again on the other end.

I'm planning to do another scarf with the same alternating colors on the ends but doing the main piece in off soft white. One scarf will be for home games and the other will be for road games. I'm also thinking about doing a third scarf that's alternating green and gold for the entire length.

GO STARS!!

I finished the wash cloth I was working on and have even finished a matching hand towel. I'll post pictures soon. I'm still working on the candle flame scarf. I can't decide how long I want to make it. I'm also still working on the maroon socks with black heels and toes, as well as pullover and hooded sweaters.
